Developer gets green light for medical building near Buffalo-Niagara medical campus

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A development company has the green light to develop a new medical building by the Buffalo Planning Board.

Unilad says they’ll be constructing a large medical office building in proximity to the Buffalo-Niagara medical campus. The plans were approved Tuesday for the three-story building with parking lot on Ellicott Street.

The company will demolish the existing building on the plot of land — that demolition is set to happen in May.

Construction is estimated to cost around $5 million for the entire project. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
