BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — Lack of foot traffic is behind the closure of three local Key Bank branches.
Three western New York branches are going to close, and according to Key Bank, it’s due to a growing mobile economy.
“Most transactions don’t take place in a bank anymore,” one Key Bank official said.
Officials say the employees of the banks will likely be assimilated into other branches in western New York.
The locations slated to close by the summer of 2015 are in Barker, Middleport and in Jamestown.
