BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – A motorcyclist wants to know who knocked him off his bike, and took off.
Bruce Kohler told News 4 he thought Saturday was just going to be another night out with friends.
However hours later, he says he and his friends were attacked. The 31-year-old ended up in the hospital.
“I was just trying not to die. I was scared for my life,” Kohler said.
Kohler said he and other bikers were on I-190 when people in a car starting throwing trash out their window.
The bikers tried to get around them, but he said they were blocked. “We tried to pass them, they swerved and tried to crash the front two guys into the cement barrier,” he said.
Once they got off the highway and came to a light, one of Kohler’s friends pulled up next to the driver.
“One of them opened the door and hit my friend, because he went up on the side of him to say ‘hey, what’s your problem?’ ”
Kohler said he made it to Niagara Square, when he noticed a vehicle was right behind him.
“I turn around at the circle and he was right behind me. I had no chance. I turned around, and he was coming like a speeding bullet and just smashed right into me.”
The driver sped off. Police are still looking for the motorist and say he may have been in a 4-door Subaru.
Kohler said he wants justice for what happened to him. “He could have killed me. I have kids. I have a wife. I have a family.”
Kohler said he’s grateful to be alive. He was rushed to ECMC early Sunday morning. His right leg is injured and he has lot of bruises.
Buffalo Police are asking anyone with information about this to call or text their confidential tip line at 716-847-2255.
