Police say helicopters to be used during Turtles filming, people to stay inside

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — Part of the action sequence being filmed in Buffalo could get dangerous for bystanders. Police say for four days helicopters will be used in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II movie filming.

It’s not clear as to if the helicopters will be involved in the shots during filming or if they will be used to help film, but the FAA has strict safety regulations which say no bystanders will be allowed near the Route 33 during the filming.

Buffalo Police Department officials say they’ll be protecting the area and enforcing regulations during filming on Monday through Thursday. They say side streets and Humbolt Avenue will be closed to drivers minus residents during those four days.
