BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A company which links contractors to those in need of services is reestablishing itself in the Buffalo area.
Plowz & Mowz established its services in Buffalo with several positive reviews, but had to cancel due to extremely high demands. The service works much like Uber does in connecting users to taxi cab drivers. The company uses an App to connect plow drivers and lawn mowers to customers in their respective areas.
A company official said they cancelled because they wanted to do right by their customers — they say the demand was too high to provide a quality service. The service to Buffalo was removed in February while the region was dealing with heavy snow.
In February, a company spokesperson said they hoped to reopen when they made enough relationships with contractors to be able to offer continuous services to customers. Now the company, which has been successful in over 30 locations in the nation, is bringing Buffalo service back just in time for the lawn mowing season.
“We’re happy to be back in the Buffalo area, we have a lot of friends and family there,” the spokesperson said. “We’re a Syracuse company, so we have strong New York roots.”
The spokesperson said they took three months to establish enough relationships with local contractors to be able to offer their services again, and they’re ready to serve the Buffalo area.
