Tonawanda auto parts company files notice to close

TOWN OF TONAWANDA, N.Y. (WIVB) –  An automotive parts company with a warehouse in the Town of Tonawanda has signaled the New York State Labor Department that it plans to down local operations this summer.  Uni-Select filed with the NYS WARN system that it plans to close local operations by the end August.

Uni-Select USA has shuttered nearly a dozen facilities this year and closing the local warehouse would result in the loss of 33 jobs.

The shutdown at the Vickers St. location would begin in August.

The workers are represented by Teamsters Local 449. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
