Van smashes into building, potentially severing gas line

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — Rescue crews carted several people off the scene of an accident in Buffalo Thursday morning.

A van veered off the road, striking a building on Pennsylvania Avenue around 9 a.m. on Buffalo’s lower west side. The driver, a female, hit a gas meter and officials were concerned the line would rupture.

The driver was brought to Sisters Hospital and two children were taken to Children’s Hospital.
