Hiker pulled from Eternal Flame trail ravine

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (WIVB) — First responders worked to both bring a person up from the bottom of a ravine and nurse them back to health Sunday.

Orchard Park Fire Company firefighters worked with the West Falls ATV team members and pulled the hiker up from the bottom of a ravine at Chestnut Ridge Park on the Eternal Flame trail. First responders descended and bundled him up ahead of the climb.

Officials say they successfully rescued the hiker, but didn’t give additional details on the person’s condition.
