FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (AP) — Authorities say three children have been injured after a waterspout made landfall in Fort Lauderdale and sent an inflatable bounce house flying into the air.

Sgt. Deanna Greenlaw posted on Twitter that when the waterspout came ashore Monday afternoon, it uprooted the bounce house and sent it across a parking lot into the roadway.

Greenlaw said three children were injured. It wasn’t immediately clear whether they were inside the bounce house when it went airborne.

The children were taken to a hospital. Their conditions were not immediately known.
