Unique “Bubble Soccer” sport comes to Buffalo

ELMA, N.Y. (WIVB) – If you like soccer, but also enjoy running into things, bubble soccer offers an intriguing option.

Patrick O’Dell brought the sport to Western New York after seeing it elsewhere.

“Maybe you have one of those friends that you secretly want to lay out. This is a really good opportunity to do that, and it’s still all good,” said O’Dell. It’s pretty physical, but actually injuries are really rare. You’re in your own private, personal bubble.”

O’Dell offers leagues, along with a couple different sites to play this summer – including Canalside and Buffalo Riverworks, in addition to Sahlen’s Sports Park. You can find more information on how to play at BuffaloBubbleSoccer.com.
