Free rabies clinic hosted at ECC south campus

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (WIVB) — Erie County’s Department of Health is looking to help pet owners fulfill legal obligations with free rabies clinics.

Several organizations are participating in order to put on the free clinic, but the Erie County Department of Health says it wants to remind pet owners of the legal obligation to vaccinate pets against rabies.

Representatives will be at ECC’s south campus in Orchard Park from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. ready for pet owners.

The last clinic, which was held just a week ago, saw nearly 900 pets vaccinated; a new record for such an event. Officials say over 800 dogs and about 130 cats were vaccinated. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
