Teacher indicted for online enticement of teens

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WIVB) — A federal grand jury returned an indictment Wednesday which charges a Spencerport teacher with attempted online enticement of a teen.

Police arrested Charles Kane, 46, after a sting operation which caught the teacher attempting to entice a teenager into a sexual relationship. Now Kane faces charges which if he is found guilty of, carry a penalty of a minimum of 10 years behind bars, a maximum life, and a fine of up to $250,000.

The teacher has been in police custody since his arrest on April 2. He will go to trial at a later date.
