Whether you like festivals, outdoor fitness classes, organized races, or sporting events, there are lots of ways to enjoy the outdoors around Buffalo this weekend.
A new summertime tradition returns to the Buffalo Zoo Friday night. Visitors will enjoy live music, local vendors, food and drinks, and animal encounters at Buffalove Fest! It goes from 5:30 – 9 and tickets are still available.
They’ll be saying “ohm” once again at Canalside all summer. Power Yoga Buffalo and Blue Cross Blue Shield are bringing free yoga back to the waterfront for the season. Classes are at 6pm on Fridays and 10 am on Saturdays.
Jim and Jill Kelly are challenging runners to try to beat the train down Main Street on Saturday. The first ever Kelly Tough 12K will raise money for their Hunter’s Hope Foundation. It starts at 11 am at UB South Campus, and finishes up by First Niagara Center. There will be a post-race party in Alumni Plaza.
Bring your capes to Coca Cola Field Saturday night. Superheroes will take over the ballpark for the Bisons game against the Rochester Red Wings. Superhero Night will help raise funds and awareness for Compeer and the Mental Health Association of Erie County. First pitch is at 5:05pm.
Pack a picnic and bring a blanket to Delaware Park on Sunday for Buffalo’s Largest Picnic! There will be food trucks and live music, too. It goes from 12 to 3 by Hoyt Lake. And that’s a look at your Weekend in Western New York.
