BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A dangerous stunt landed one Buffalo woman behind bars, and police say she was drunk at the time.
Police stopped Veronica A. Greer, 38, on the I-190 southbound, but say she was driving northbound against traffic. New York State Troopers say during an interview they could tell Greer was drunk, and they arrested her.
On her person, police also say they found a Xanax pill. When they tested her for alcohol, police say they learned her blood alcohol content was .16 percent.
Greer was charged with felony DWI — as she has been convicted twice of DWI — criminal possession of a controlled substance, reckless driving and other vehicle and traffic tickets.
She was remanded to the Erie County Holding Center and will be appearing next in court on June 1.
