Trooper forced off the road, accuses man of felony DWI

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — An arcade man is facing felony charges after allegedly forcing a New York State Trooper off the road.

Police say at about 10 p.m. on Friday Danny L. Dawley II, 32, veered into oncoming traffic on West Yorkshire Road. They say a Trooper had to veer to avoid being hit before he swung around and pulled Dawley over.

After pulling Dawley over, the officer said he realized the man was drunk. After tests, police say they learned Dawley’s blood alcohol content was .13 percent.

Dawley was charged with felony DWI due to a prior conviction, and other traffic charges. He’ll return to court at a later date. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
