Customs and Border Protection officers see uptick in firearms seizures in WNY

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — Officials with Customs and Border and Protection say they’re seeing an unusually high number of firearms seizures.

Officials say since the start of May, they’ve seized 18 illegal guns from Americans and foreigners who are attempting to bring guns into the U.S. from Canada.

Officers have seized guns ranging from Smith and Wesson revolvers, Springfield Armory automatic pistols, Ruger revolvers, along with Taurus and Glock handguns.
