BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – You’ve heard of miniature golf, but have you heard of nano golf? The new public art concept is in the final stages of construction at Larkin Square. Each hole was designed by a different local artist or business. There’s a mini brick firehouse, a small replica of Larkin Square, a half pipe hole, and one inspired by the iconic 18th hole at Pebble Beach.
Unlike most mini golf courses, it’s free to play.
“Everyone is very respectful of what we’ve done down here. And that’s how they can enjoy it. So we want this to be free. We’ll have balls, putters available for play. We have some little putters for kids. So it’s an extension of our fun, urban living,” explained Larkin Square Director of Fun Leslie Zemsky.
The ribbon cutting and first rounds of play on “Larkin Links” is scheduled for Wednesday, June 17th. The course will be open through the fall.
