Hamilton police officers arrested after internal investigation

HAMILTON ONT. – Multiple Hamilton Police officers have been arrested following an internal investigation.

In September 2014, tickets were discovered in a service shredder box and an internal investigation was immediately launched.

Some nine months later, investigators believe there were discrepancies involving 32 tickets.

Officials have met and interviewed some of those cited.

The officers, members of the service’s ACTION Team One were placed on administrative duties during this investigation. Now, all have been suspended without pay.

The officers are due in court in mid-July
