ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (WIVB) – With the third and final mandatory mini-camp practice coming to an end Thursday, the Bills now have six weeks off until training camp. Head coach Rex Ryan is encouraging everyone to get away from football for a while.

“Told the players detox away from football,” said Ryan. “Get away from it, maintain some conditioning but get away from it. Hoping you are jogging on the beach or doing something like that. But now is not the time to think about football. Now is the time to get away from it, spend time with your families, have a little life outside of the game. And then when it gets close start dialing it in and can’t wait to get back out here.”

The Bills return to the practice field July 31st for the first day of training camp.

As for today’s session, quarterback EJ Manuel had a strong showing with a couple long TD strikes. Matt Cassel, on the other hand, struggled for the most part to close out minicamp. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
