Buffalo RiverWorks open, much more to come

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — Construction is still very much underway at Buffalo RiverWorks; the Queen City’s newest waterfront, boating, sports, music and entertainment destination along the banks of the Buffalo River. They had a soft open this week, meaning the doors are open to the public to enjoy a selection of food and drinks, but the best is yet to come.

Buffalo RiverWorks is going to be a multi-faceted events center. It will be able to host concerts from inside and outside, up to about ten-thousand people when during the warm months, and forty-five hundred people inside during winter-time.

Aside from hosting concerts on their indoor stage, they will be open for food and drinks with multiple full-service bars, and seating on every level, both inside and out by the water.

Along with an indoor Roller-derby track, RiverWorks will also host a lot of games and events, with two outdoor ice rinks which during the warm months can be used for anything from lacrosse to pickleball. Inside, there will be a giant TV broadcasting sports and entertainment, making for a great venue during football and hockey seasons.

And, being right on the water, anyone who wants to come check it out via boat or kayak will be able to. There is a 300 foot dock going in this year, which will have a kayak ramp at the end of it, so people can pull up in their kayaks.
