Bomb threat forces evacuation of Jamestown Jammers game; police arrest, charge local man

JAMESTOWN, N.Y. (WIVB) — Those inside Diethrick Park were forced to evacuate on Wednesday night after police reported a bomb threat.

The Jamestown Jammers, who were playing on Wednesday night, say they received the threat and immediately notified police, who treated it as an emergency situation. Police evacuated the building and performed a full sweep of the stadium.

Following that evacuation, police made a swift arrest. They say a local man was making terroristic threats and was charged with the felony crime. Jamestown Police Officials say Jeffrey W. Huling, a 33-year-old Jamestown man, called in the false threat.

Huling is now in the Jamestown City Jail pending his arraignment.

Jamestown Jammers officials say they’re cooperating with the investigation. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
