BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — Buffalo native Hayden Fogle is going into his second year of high school, but he’s got the blues on his mind.
He told News 4 the music style speaks to him. He’s been playing for six years, and has already graced the stage with legends like Buddy Guy.
Fogle told News 4 that for now, high school fun can wait.
“I feel like this is where I’m supposed to be. Some of the greats have just told me, they’ve given me wisdom, and it’s influenced me to spend time on the guitar, and I feel like I can enjoy that stuff after I’ve gotten to where I want to be,” he told News 4.
Fogle said he’s focused on making his passion behind the guitar a career, but his mom doesn’t let him take gigs that interfere with his schoolwork.
Fogle is planning to play a mother-sanctioned concert on June 26 at Buffalo Iron Works with his band, featuring Daniel Powell on the drums, George Olmsted on vocals and Kevan Laedke on the keys.
Cost of admission is $5.
