Lululemon recalls women’s top due to injury hazard

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A popular company which sells trendy clothes for yoga is recalling a product after several reports of injury.

Lululemon says it officially is recalling a women’s top which was sold in many sizes and colors. The top is zip-up with several pockets and has an elastic draw chord with a hard tip in the hood.

Officials say metal or hard plastic tips can strike people in the eye when pulling on the strings. Lululemon recommended consumers either ask them for a new non-elastic draw chord with written instructions or remove the draw chord in general.

The product was removed from shelves for repair after seven reports of injury to the eyes and faces of consumers. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
