More than 12,000 race for charity in Corporate Challenge

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — Hundreds of companies are racing for charity on Thursday in the 35th annual Corporate Challenge.

The race, put on by J-P Morgan, started at 6:45 p.m., and donations were made to the Kevin Guest House and the Roswell Park Cancer Institute.

With thousands of people participating in the challenge, organizers prepped for a traffic jam.

“Parking in the neighborhood is available. It’s very tight, so we run shuttles from Buffalo State from 4 to 6 p.m. and from 8 to 10 p.m.,” Dan Loncto, local race coordinator, said. “It’ll take you right to your car. We highly recommend people do that.”

Police warn participants not to block driveways, fire hydrants or crosswalks. Click here to learn more about the streets which will be closed.
