Lockport man facing DWI charges

PENDLETON, N.Y. (WIVB) — After stopping a man who reportedly sped past a Trooper, police say they made a DWI arrest.

Police say they stopped 50-year-old David Hinton on South Transit Road for the violation. New York State Troopers say they could smell alcohol during an interview, so they put him through sobriety tests, which they say he failed.

A test of his blood alcohol content reportedly revealed he drove with a .13 percent blood alcohol content.

Hinton will return to court in Pendleton on July 15.
