Man charged with DWI after Troopers stop swerving car

ALBION, N.Y. (WIVB) — After following a driver who Troopers described as swerving around the road, police made a DWI arrest.

New York State Troopers say they watched as Todd Howard drove down a road in Albion on Sunday and put on his turning signal but didn’t turn. They say he also swerved around the road, and that’s when they pulled him over. Police say they could smell alcohol on him during the interview.

Police say Howard failed field sobriety tests and registered a .14 percent blood alcohol content. Police charged him with DWI and ordered him to return to court in July. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
