Naval and Military Park honors four WWII veterans

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – The Buffalo and Erie County Naval and Military Park added four names to its Wall of Honor early Saturday.

Dozens of family, friends and locals attended the event to honor the World War II veterans.

The Hall of Honor recognized Donald Beebe, a Marine Corps veteran, Robert Kresse, a Navy veteran, Harlan Swift, of the 209th Coastal Artillery and William Dolce, of the U.S. Army.

The Wall of Honor has become a “must see” destination and has hosted visitors from 46 states and 68 countries since April 2015.

Col. Patrick Cunningham, U.S. Army retired, is the Executive Director of the Naval Park. He said ant local veteran can be honored, regardless of their rank,

“It recognizes them for their contributions in the service, contributing toward the freedom of our country,” he said. “It also recognizes them for their continued service in the community.”
