Man accused of driving drunk three times over legal limit

YATES, N.Y. (WIVB) — A Youngstown, N.Y. man is accused of driving drunk while dangerously intoxicated.

A tip from a concerned citizen detailed a dangerous, and potentially drunk driver in Orleans County, and police took to the scene on Route 63 in Yates. New York State Troopers eventually pulled over Alan Tewsley, 49, and put him through an investigation.

The result of the blood alcohol test showed his intoxication to be .28 percent — thrice the legal limit.

Tewsley is due back in court later in July.
