First boutique shop opens in Shops at HarborCenter

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) –  A year ago, HarborCenter was just a construction site. Now, it’s a major part of the waterfront, and the latest phase of the project opened to a strong reception on Fourth of July.

The Red Siren boutique is the first store to open in the Shops at HarborCenter, located in the corner of the building on Main and Perry Streets. While the store’s name may remind hockey fans of red goal horns, it’s actually named for the mythical mermaid creatures that lure sailors towards temptations.

Founder Sharon Randaccio came up with the concept about a year ago. “We wanted to be part of building Buffalo,” she told News 4. “We loved the location of being on the water. Certainly being part of Pegulaville was a main attraction.”

Red Siren will soon be joined by Modern Nostalgia, Fowlers Chocolates, and Claytons Toys in the Shops at HarborCenter. They are open seven days a week. Parking is free in the HarborCenter ramp for the first hour. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
