Shakespeare in the Park’s production of Romeo and Juliet closes Sunday. There are free performances Friday and Saturday at 7:30. Shakespeare returns July 23rd with Twelfth Night.

Get ready to get just buggy. The Insectival is back at the Tifft Nature preserve Saturday. Your kids can meet live insects up close, make bug-based crafts – and even try tasting an edible bug or two. There are two sessions. They suggested per-registering here.
It’s time for one of the oldest ethnic festivals in the city of Buffalo. The Grease Pole Festival is about more than the famous crazy looking contest where teams of people climb a greased pole together. The day is devoted to Latino culture, with food, music, and dancing, too. It goes all day at the community center on Swan Street.
The West Side Rowing Club will host its Invitational Regatta on Sunday. The event has been entertaining boat lovers for more than one hundred years. You’ll be able to see the teams compete in the black rock canal from 9am to 2 pm.
