Buffalo Partners with NYC in tourism campaign

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — An agreement between the two largest cities in New York State is part of a larger goal to promote New York State tourism.

Officials say they hope the first ever partnership of its kind will boost local business and keep money inside New York State. The campaign will place public signs across the two cities in both English and Spanish.

“The number of people that will see the name Buffalo and the kind of attractions that Buffalo has to offer in New York City, which is probably one of the greatest tourism market places in all of the world,” Buffalo Mayor Byron Brown said.

Each city invested $150,000 for the campaign, and each will be closely watching the tourism numbers to see what kind of an impact they will have.
