Police kick off work zone crackdown

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — Across New York State, New York State Police say they’ll have a closer eye on work zones in the upcoming week.

Monday marked the first day of a crackdown on speeding and aggressive driving in construction and work zones. The crackdown will extend until July 17.

In 2014, Troopers issued about 2,500 tickets during their crackdown on work zone violations.
