TORONTO (WIVB) – It wasn’t her best performance, but Jenn Suhr still finished on the podium, taking bronze in the pole vault Thursday night at the Pan Am Games in Toronto.

The Fredonia native opened her night at 4.50 meters, missing on her first attempt before clearing that height as well as 4.60, which clinched her a spot on the podium.

Suhr missed all three times at 4.65 meters.

Cuba’s Yarisley Silva won the gold medal tonight, clearing 4.85 meters. Brazil’s Fabiana Murer cleared 4.80 to win the silver.

Suhr, coming off the US championship last month, will next compete in the World Championships in Beijing next month.
