AMHERST, N.Y. (WIVB) – With just a couple weeks until the Bulls begin practice, UB head football coach Lance Leipold is anxious to get started.
“Itching to get out there, there’s no doubt about that. It’s been a few months, there’s a lot of anxiety I think for a lot of us that are ready to get this thing going,” said Leipold.
He had a few weeks in the spring to install systems and get the team used to his style of practice, but the work cranks up next month to get the Bulls ready for his first year at the helm.
“Every day is going to be important for us. Whether it be in the classroom learning off of film, getting techniques and terminology down. And it’s not just finding the starting group, it’s developing the depth we’re going to need, and of course the third component of games, is that we’re going to need to be an excellent special teams units as well,” said Leipold.
