Renter blames candle for overnight house fire

KENMORE, N.Y. (WIVB) – Firefighters responded to the scene of an overnight fire on West Hazeltine Avenue around 2:30 a.m.

Investigators say they believe they already know what caused the early morning fire.

The renter of the home says he left a tea light burning and woke up to the flames.

The renter was able to get out of the home unharmed.
