Police: Fighting over a woman leads to stabbing

TONAWANDA, N.Y. (WIVB) – City of Tonawanda police have made an arrest after an overnight stabbing on Schuler Street.

Just before 3:30 Sunday morning, police say 21-year-old Timothy Miller stabbed Ramondo Serrano of Tonawanda in the leg. Serrano, 21 was transported to ECMC after losing a large amount of blood.

Timothy Miller of North Tonawanda was apprehended a few hours later in his apartment on Main Street. Police found Miller with a stab wound to his leg, that they believe to be self-inflicted.

Miller was arrested and charged with assault, criminal contempt, menacing and criminal possession of a weapon.

Police believe the two men were fighting over a woman when the stabbing occurred.

Miller is being held at police headquarters awaiting arrangement.
