Hot weather makes fighting blaze difficult for firefighters

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – Firefighters responded to a call of a fire at a two-story home on Bailey Avenue near William Street around 7:00 a.m. Thursday.

A fire chief on the scene told News 4, everyone made it out of the home safely.

The fire started in the basement, but because of so much debris and clothing firefighters had a difficult time battling the blaze.

The hot weather also made it difficult for firefighters on the scene.

The family is being assisted by the Red Cross.
