Police bust two for crack cocaine and heroin trafficking

JAMESTOWN, N.Y. (WIVB) — Acting on two separate search warrants, police say they removed two traffickers of heroin and crack cocaine off the streets of Jamestown on Thursday and Friday.

Jamestown Police and their law enforcement partners worked to raid two separate homes while acting on credible information gained through their investigations into drug deals in the area.

On Thursday, police raided 29-year-old Omar Rosado’s home on 18 Shaw Avenue. They say inside they were able to confirm the trafficking of heroin from the residence.

On Friday, police raided 31-year-old Tyrone M. Smith’s home on 15 Stowe Avenue. While inside, they say they found evidence of cocaine trafficking.

Police arrested both, charging Rosado with third degree criminal sale of a controlled substance. They charged Smith with third degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, third degree criminal possession of a weapon and possession of marijuana.

Each man is currently in jail awaiting future court dates. Police say anybody with information into drug deals in the southern tier is asked to call police at (716) 483-8477.
