Three charged in officer-involved crash

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A Buffalo police officer was hurt in a crash while pursuing a suspicious vehicle late Saturday night.

BPD officials said it happened around 9:40 p.m. at the intersection of Kensington and Grider. They said the officer was pursuing a suspicious vehicle when that vehicle hit another car.

Three people are facing charges in the crash. A 27-year-old man is charged with assault of a police officer and reckless endangerment, a 21-year-old man is charged with possession of marijuana, and a 20-year-old man is charged with robbery in connection to the crash.

Police said the officer was treated for a facial injury at ECMC and released.
