Buffalo man critically hurt in Genesee County crash

PEMBROKE, N.Y. (WIVB) — A Buffalo man is at Erie County Medical Center Wednesday morning after a 2-car crash in Genesee County.

A car driven by Luis Martinezmorales, 22, was heading west on Indian Falls Road just after midnight, and drove past a stop sign at Route 77, according to the Genesee County Sheriff’s Office. The front of a car heading north on 77 hit Martinezmorales’ car’s driver’s door, then both cars skidded off the shoulder.

Fire personnel had to free Martinezmorales from his car. Mercy Flight brought him to ECMC with multiple injuries. He’s in critical condition, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

Martinezmorales’ passenger, Brian Ortiz-Guevara, of Puerto Rico, was also brought to ECMC; his injuries are described as minor.

The driver of the other car, Dixie Woodworth, 53, of Lyndonville, was brought to ECMC. Her injuries are described as minor.

Charges are pending. Alcohol was not a factor in the crash, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
