Police investigate violent home invasion on Buffalo’s west side

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A homeowner is recovering after a violent Buffalo home invasion on the city’s west side.

Police say they responded to call for help after a home invasion on the 300 block of Hoyt Street around 5 a.m. this morning. First responders brought the homeowner to the Erie County Medical Center as the home invaders struck the man in the back of the head.

An investigation is continuing, but police say the home invaders left without taking anything. Early investigation suggests the invaders entered through a window.
