Flipped car crash leads to DWI charges

TONAWANDA, N.Y. (WIVB) — While investigation a single car crash along the I-190 on Tuesday, police say they were forced to arrest the driver for drunk driving.

Police say 32-year-old Kelly M. Wilczynski lost control of her car while driving north on the 190, flipping her car. First responders brought her to the hospital for minor injuries.

During their investigation, New York State Troopers say they realized Wilczynski was drunk, and they asked her to submit to chemical testing to determine her blood alcohol content.

Wilczynski refused testing, and police charged her with DWI and other vehicle and traffic violations. She’ll return to court on Aug. 17.
