Lancaster police warn public of suspicious male

LANCASTER, N.Y. (WIVB) — The Lancaster Police Department posted a warning to social media on Monday following an incident where a young girl says she was approached by a stranger.

According to police, the girl says a man in a red minivan with tinted windows approached her and said “Come here, I am your Grandpa.”

The girl immediately ran away to tell a family member about the incident, as the man was not her grandfather.

He is described as a white male with brown hair and a brown beard with white streaks in it.

The public is asked not to approach this man. If he is seen, police advise to contact them immediately with a license plate number.
