Man arrested with five pounds of pot, quantity of crack

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A collaboration of police forces broke into a house on a search warrant and came out with an arrest.

Erie County Sheriff’s Deputies say they worked with Buffalo Police Department Narcotics Unit officers to raid an Olympic Avenue home. Inside the home, they say they found five pounds of marijuana and over half an ounce of crack cocaine.

Inside the home, they arrested 37-year-old Omar Walker, charging him with criminal possession of a narcotic with intent to sell, criminal possession of a controlled substance and criminal possession of marijuana — three felony crimes.

Walker will appear in Buffalo City Court, but faced jail time at the Erie County Holding Center immediately after his arrest. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
