NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. (WIVB) — With the help of the public, Niagara Falls police captured a man who they say is responsible for a Tuesday bank robbery.
Police captured Joel S. Zsebehazy on Thursday afternoon; Niagara Falls police say he submitted without incident. Officials released Zsebehazy’s photo after security cameras allegedly caught him on camera while robbing the Niagara Falls M&T Bank on Main Street.
During the bank robbery, police say Zsebehazy didn’t brandish a weapon, but demanded money of the bank teller and then fled with it.
Zsebehazy stands charged with bank robbery. Police thanked the public for their help in apprehending the man. He’ll return to court at a later date.
