BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – Representatives from the First Niagara Center and AEG Live say they will announce Tuesday a “major event” coming to the arena in the fall.
News 4 has confirmed that announcement is that Paul McCartney is coming to the arena.
This is a first for the former Beatle. During his 55-year career, he has had shows across the state and in nearby Toronto but never in Buffalo.
The two companies will hold a press conference Tuesday morning at 10 a.m. announcing an event coming to the indoor arena. They say it is “anticipated to be one of the biggest Buffalo has ever hosted.”
News 4 will be at the press conference and will bring you an information including the date as we know it.
A billboard on the 290 was recently spotted teasing the event also.
That had some people guessing who might Even Erie County Executive Mark Poloncarz is playing the guessing game. On Twitter, he said “It’s obvious: Burton Cummings & Randy Bachman are reuniting for a long awaited Guess Who concert.”
Other popular guesses include Taylor Swift, Sir Paul McCartney and Bon Jovi.
