NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. (WIVB) — A western New York man is facing serious charges after police say they found open containers of alcohol in his vehicle during a traffic stop.
New York State Troopers say they stopped Eugene J. Page, 37, for running a red light and speeding along Pine Avenue on Tuesday evening. Troopers say after pulling him off to the side of the road, an interview made it clear the man drove drunk. Inside his car, police say they found open containers of alcohol along with a baggie with cocaine residue inside it.
Police charged Page with aggravated unlicensed operation of a vehicle, no license, speeding, drinking alcohol in a motor vehicle and driving through a red light.
A judge released Page on appearance tickets.
