Sheriffs warn of Grand Island larcenies

GRAND ISLAND, N.Y. (WIVB) — A rash of larcenies in Grand Island prompted local police to issue a warning to residents Thursday.

Police say locals should be on guard in Grand Island. Erie County Sheriff’s Deputies advised for residents to lock their doors, windows, cars and garages. In addition to those safeguards, police advised removing all valuables from open view in cars and from windows.

Thieves broke into four locked cars on Love Road on Wednesday night alone. They stole tablets, purses and credit cards.
