LANCASTER, N.Y. (WIVB) — After a month of garage and shed burglaries, police say they think they have the burglar in custody.
Lancaster Police say they stopped a man with a snowblower in his vehicle after learning of a stolen snowblower only a night before. They traced the snowblower back to its owner, who confirmed it had been stolen.
Police say further investigation uncovered more stolen items in the 26-year-old man’s possession. Police are withholding the name as investigation continues, but say they charged the man with two counts of second degree burglary, four counts of third degree burglary, third degree grand larceny, fifth degree possession of stolen property, petit larceny, false personation and third degree aggravated unlicensed operation.
Following the man’s arrest, he appeared in court where a judge remanded him to jail on $25,000 bail.
