Man killed in Town of Tonawanda shooting

TOWN OF TONAWANDA, N.Y. (WIVB) – Police in the Town of Tonawanda are investigating a deadly overnight shooting.

Detectives were called to Blackmore Street in the Sheridan Parkside neighborhood at around 11:30 p.m. Sunday.

Neighbors said that 34-year-old Buffalo native Anthony L. Stallworth was shot in the street. Police say he was one of two men walking together who were the intended targets of the shooting. One person was not hurt, the other was fatally wounded.

Police released the victim’s name after identifying him on Monday afternoon and identifying his family.

The suspect or suspects are have not been caught yet.
